In 1991, while attending Western Michigan University, Roy Gooch saw an opportunity to recycle and sell toner cartridges to help finance his college education. He opened Precision Printer Services, and for the first two years, remanufactured toner cartridges in the evenings and weekends, while during the day, attended class and cold-called to make sales. By 1993, the business was growing rapidly so Roy, along with his wife Tricia, made the decision for Roy to make PPS his full-time profession. Tricia (now COO of PPS) followed in 1997, leaving the banking industry to devote time to helping shape PPS’s continuous growth.
Since the very beginning, PPS has been dedicated to providing the best remanufactured toner cartridges in the country and exceeding the needs of its customers. This approach to quality products and service has allowed PPS to sustain steady growth and maintain customer relationships long term. In fact, over 70% of the customers that ordered in 1991 are still ordering today! PPS partners with its customers to add value to the printing process.
PPS can handle everything from a one printer office user to an organization that has hundreds of printers and needs dedicated support.
After starting as a cartridge tech while earning his degree at Western Michigan University, Tim has filled several roles throughout his 29-year career at PPS. He is currently serving as the Director of Operations, overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations. In addition, Tim has guided PPS through STMC, Brother, Sharp, and Xerox Certifications. Tim is a certified scuba diver and enjoys spending time with his family and attending his sons’ baseball games.
Jarred brings 20 years of printer service experience to PPS and is instrumental in the daily management of the service department. In addition to keeping the service department up to date with new equipment, he has implemented managed print solution programs at some of the biggest hospitals in the US. Jarred is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time on his boat and skiing with family.
Throughout its 33 years, Precision Printer Services has provided premium remanufactured toner cartridges, printers, and printer service to businesses, large and small, as well as household consumers.
